picture yourself on an exotic island in a little beach cabin. you just woke up to the sound of the waves gently hugging the shore. a warm salty breeze greets you through your bedroom window. You walk outside and feel your feet sink into the soft white sand. you tilt your head up to the sky. the sun kisses your face & illuminates your whole body.
l i s t e n.
do you hear that? a parrot, clothed in a robe of red and orange feathers playfully singing a love song. happily in a moment of eternity.
this tropical smoothie will bring you right there on your own little exotic island. it’s a simple one, but who said life has to be complicated? all you need are some mangoes, a banana, oats, chia seeds & coconut milk. it’s the sweetest juice of exotic taste.
all you have to do is blend everything together and load your bowl with your favourite toppings. i chose shredded coconut, frozen passion fruit cubes and some last blooming flowers from my garden.
this bowl of deliciousness is basically my own personal heaven.
feel free to have fun with this bowl. if you have other fruit on hand, go for it. you really can’t make a bad smoothie bowl. . . especially when you’re starting with mangoes.

1 - 1 1/2 mango
1 ripe banana
1 - 1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tbs chia seeds (soaked)
1 cup oats
frozen Passion fruit (topping)
shredded coconut (topping)
add the mangoes, banana, chia seeds and coconut milk to a blender and blend until smooth.
if too thick, thin with more coconut milk or water. if too thin, thicken with ice (or more frozen banana, though it will add more sweetness).
taste and adjust flavour as needed.
finish off with your favourite tropical toppings.
