even if you’re not really into beets you should give this smoothie a change. the sweetness of the bananas and berries balance out the sometimes weird dirt tasting beets. & if you really like it sweet.. go ahead, and add maple or agave syrup.
all the other lovely ingredients are oats, chia seeds and coconut milk. yes. it really is that simple to create a beautiful looking, magical vibrant healthy smoothie.
if you have a powerful blender you can use raw beets. otherwise make sure you cook them first (or buy cooked beets) before you mess up your blender.
since beets will stain your hands or basically everything that comes into contact with them i have two options for you to do right after making this smoothie.
be stained with magical cotton candy fairy dust for the rest of the day and touch everything and everyone to turn them into a hot pink mess.
turn it into paint & create beautiful beetroot art. if you do, i would love to see your magical beet paintings.

2 ripe bananas
1 cup (forest)berries
3 beets (raw or cooked)
1 - 1 1/2 cup coconut milk (or other plant milk of choice)
1 tbs chia seeds (soaked)
1 cup oats
add the bananas, berries, beets, plant milk, chia seeds and oats to a blender and blend until smooth.
if too thick, thin with more plant milk or water. if too thin, thicken with ice (or more frozen banana, though it will add more sweetness).
taste and adjust flavour as needed.
